Jenna M. K. Westbrook
Owner & Creative Director
Jenna Westbrook founded JMK Design Studio to provide design resources and marketing capabilities to startups and small businesses thereby filling a gap in staff resources and accelerating meaningful growth and client success. Her analytical background and artistic abilities provided a comprehensive and trusted source who can take abstract and complex projects from concept to launch.
As a lead designer for more than 15 years, Jenna works directly with business owners and executives. Jenna draws on extensive experience working on a wide range of projects within different businesses. She is known for her ability to listen, bring into focus the creative vision, lead the project team, and drive the project forward with clear and compelling visual storytelling.
Non-Profit Organizations
Jenna is passionate about giving back through working with various non-profit organizations. She was a founding member of Bridges to Prosperity’s University Team and has served as the development committee chair and creative director for the organization’s rebrand and website redevelopment. She served on the Board of Directors for 8 years. Jenna has also worked with Meet the Middle East, The Conflict Center, and Denver Coalition for Integration. She takes on non-profit clients on a quarterly basis at a reduced rate.
Education
Jenna obtained a master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Colorado Denver, a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a B.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Iowa. She has studied abroad in Italy, Australia, and Turkey.

Born to Play Preschool
After becoming a mother in 2017, Jenna became passionate about early childhood education and supporting parents on their journey. She is the founder of the organization Born to Play which provides parents with play based resources to aid in their daily parenting struggles.
Westbrook Leather Co.
In 2011, Jenna discovered leather working and became an avid maker and leather artist. She has handmade and sold over 100 leather bags, cases, and wallets that have been shipped worldwide. When she is not working or playing with her sons you can find her in her basement studio creating something that she believes should exist in the world. Sunny Money, LLC
Jenna is a vocal advocate for financial education and the Creative Director/Partner of Sunny Money LLC, the parent company that created the book Coin: The Irreverent Yet Practical Guide to Money Management for Recent College Graduates. Written by Judy McNary, a certified financial planner, and Illustrated by Jenna, Coin is the personal finance guide book used by successful college graduates to put them on the road to wealth, keep them out of financial trouble, and enjoy a rich life along the way. Judy and Jenna have been working in partnership since 2013 to inspire young adults to become educated about their finances and to improve the dialogue about money in our society. Using humor and wit, Coin proves that talking about money doesn’t have to be boring! Be on the look out for an updated copy that will be available in 2023.
